Who can come along?:
Most of the walk is spent with us clustered around various plants and mushrooms so we don’t actually cover a huge amount of ground. This means that you don’t have to be super fit to come along and I’ve had people between the ages of (so far!) 72 and 8 weeks old coming along! I am also very happy for you to bring children along to the wild food walks. I love kids and having them along on the walks can be loads of fun. The paths we use are quite flat but you would be better off carrying any very young children in a sling or a back frame if you think they won’t be able to walk for very long. It must be noted however that any children who are brought along are the responsibility of the parent at all times and it is your responsibility to make sure that they do not touch things they shouldn’t or put things in their mouths. I will of course keep an eye on them also but I will not be held responsible should they do something reckless or irresponsible or hurt themselves in any way while on my walk.
So how much does it cost?
These are a great way to dip your toe into the foraging world! We spend one hour and a half hours outdoors and you will learn about some of the most amazingly delicious things that are in season when you come for your walk. These run from Kirkstall Deli Market each month where they operate on a pay as you feel basis so you can come along and pay according to your means. They can also be organised as private events at other times so do get in touch!
Forage & Feast Walks:
These cost £45 per adult, £35 per student (please use the contact form to request a discount code), and £15 per child over 4 and under 14.
Family Tickets: Families booking together can get a discount on the final price. To book family places, please get in touch using the form as you will need a code.
Group Bookings: 5 or more adults booking together get 10% off the ticket price: again, please use the form to get in touch as you will need a code
If you would like to come along to a Wild Food Day but can’t stay for the feast, let me know in advance and you might be able to pay the Walks rate instead of the Days rate!
All my walks can be organised for private groups. Bespoke events are truly unique and can be taiored to your precise needs. From 1 hour-long taster sessions to full day foraging courses with or without feast. Just get in touch with your proposed dates, your location (bespoke events can also be held outside of Leeds), your budget, group size and desires and I'll work with you to develop the perfect package! .
